How studyguide.work works
From a learning brief and your own sources to a structured study guide — here is the whole path, and the ideas behind it.
The ideas behind it
Good study material has three properties: it is structured (broken into worksheets and review steps), it is grounded (built from material you trust, not invented content), and it adapts (it revisits what the learner has not mastered). studyguide.work is built to deliver exactly those three things.
The service is made for two kinds of learners: families who teach their children at home or after school, and adults learning for personal growth. It is deliberately not an enterprise product — no SSO, no LMS integrations, no procurement.
The four steps
- Write your learning brief. A durable profile of the learner: who they are, the rules you want followed, and the subjects to cover. You write it once and refine it over time.
- Add your sources. Upload the material to learn from. The guide is grounded in your content, so what you learn matches what you actually need.
- Generate a study guide. The guide is structured into worksheets (the printable part), a narrative story mode, and a learning loop that plans what to revisit.
- Learn, print, repeat. Work through the guide with the learner, print worksheets, and regenerate as they progress.
Family teams and learner profiles
Every account belongs to a team — a family or a single learner. Parents and tutors manage learner profiles, each with an age band, grade level and subjects. For minors, a recorded guardian consent is required before a learner profile completes onboarding.
How generation is funded
Generating a study guide consumes Study Credits — purchasable units, so you only pay for the guides you create. Credit packs and prices are being finalised; see the pricing page.
